Fathers Day
First I want to say Happy father's day to all you dad's out there... So I am having dinner with my dad and step mother, and it was nice, Lisa cooked supper and we all sat around and chatted. My sister Missy brought her new baby over, which is precious...I mean absolutely adorable. I love her to pieces....she is just the sweetest little thing. Anyway, back to the afternoon. We finish eating, help clean the dishes and all sit around the table to give my father his gift...which is $100.00 so he can go and eat at his favorite restaurant...or where ever he chooses. Missy decides they should go so she can feed Macy, so we all get up and walk out to leave, and my step mother announces to us that she is preggers.....WTF???!!!! She tells us that she is 8 weeks along. She is a high risk pregnancy and has been taking fertility treatments to try and become pregnant. I am happy for her, but I am a little overwhelmed at the same time. I mean my father is turing 50 in JULY!!! HELLO!! 50...yes, so when the kid is growing up, (god forbid) but my father may not be as healthy as he needs to be....not to mention that I am going to be 28 years older than this child. For those of you that know me personally, know that my family is the most important thing....and the relationship that I have with my family means the world to me......What kind of relationship can I really have with a child that is 28 years younger than me? Honestly.!? My two sisters and I are all very close to each other, we always have been....so I am a little saddened because I know I am not going to be able to have that same kind of relationship with this child. I do want my step mother to be happy, and if this is WHAT SHE THINKS will make her WHOLE, then by all means, I think she should be able to have that, however, in my opinion, I do not think its fair to that baby or to us simply because of that age differences. I mean hell, my niece will be almost a year older than its aunt or uncle....how fucking back woods and country is that shit? Jesus Christ, I am really am white fucking trash! Sorry for the rant, I just really needed to get this off my chest. I honestly do want my step mom and dad to be happy. I just am selfish when it comes to me and my family. I want us to be close like we are now. Who knows, this may make me a better person and I may have a great relationship with this child that will be more like a niece or nephew than a sister or brother, but right now, I am saddened and bleak about it. Viva LasVegas
Vegas was fun. It is not as glamorous as it seems on TV or in Movies, but I guess that is my own fault for being naive. It was a blast though. I have to say that is the most fun I have ever had losing money before. I only took 400 dollars out there with me and lost about $260. I had such a great time. I stayed at the MGM Grand, it was a great hotel, the room was a pretty nice size for a hotel room. The Casinos are amazing. It was almost like a theme park for adults. The hotels on the strip are all theme hotels. The Venetian was the most amazing, I have to say. It is like a little french city, they have gondola rides through a canal. It was sooo awesome. I have to say the funniest thing I saw was CASINO WAR....WTF...what a game of chance. I had to chuckle. The crazy thing was that Karim bet $100.00 on this stupid game and won. I was like WTF....are you kidding me. Then there is downtown Vegas, its not on the strip, and that is where Vegas is. Its the smaller original casinos that started the Vegas of old, smaller scale casinos, with smaller minimum bets. That is where the money is. The older casinos seem to have slots that are more loose than the newer themed locations. The blackjack also seemed to be a better play there too. Although its a different style of blackjack, they deal face down and you use the cards to sweep the table to take a hit. That was kinda strange to me, but, what can you do. I stayed pretty drunk most of the weekend and didn't sleep too much. There is soo much to do and see. I still didnt get to see a damn show, or ride any of the coasters. Time got away from me. And so the countdown begins....I officially have 13 more days until I go to Vegas, which is one of my dream vacations. I do love to gamble, and I am soooo excited to just go and see the town. All moved in
So I am finally all moved in, but the daunting task of getting it all unpacked still looms over my head. My kitchen is unpacked and the living room is established, but the office is still full of boxes. Hopefully this weekend I will be over my cold and will feel like getting it all in order. I will have to take some pictures and post them so you all can see my new digs. Well, I am off to take some medicine and go lay in a hot bath to try and make my muscles feel better. Later folks. HOOOORAAAAAYYYYYYY
After the whole drive by shooting fiasco, I decide to apply for a loan....and TADAAAAAAAA.....Chrissy is approved up to $180,000.00. Can you say KA-CHING!! I am not going to borrow that much, as it is more payment than I really want to pay, however, I am looking in the 130K range for a nice little town home for me and das kitties. So I gave my land lord notice that I was leaving and he said that almost everyone that is renting from him is leaving due to the occurrence last friday. I feel really bad for him, as he is a fabulous land lord, but I have to ensure my safety first. Well, any way, I will keep my house hunting up to date on here. I think I am going looking this weekend. I am very excited and nervous all the same. My Preggers sister is doing well, all she wants to eat is Red Lobster garlic cheese biscuits and pickles...kinda odd and a little off kilter, but hey she is knocked up. About 12 weeks to be precise.
